The first of the Standard Pacific Stoneridge neighborhoods (1995–1996) at the east end of Stoneridge Drive, with detached homes plus larger semi-customs, next to Mohr Elementary.
Of the three Standard Pacific neighborhoods clustered at the east end of Stoneridge Drive, Stoneridge Park came first — and it's arguably the most versatile of the group. Built in the mid-1990s next to Mohr Elementary School and its park, it offers something its newer siblings don't: a genuine range of homes, from efficient single-family houses to a handful of larger semi-custom estates on big lots, all in one well-established, amenity-supported neighborhood.
Stoneridge Park was the first phase of the Stoneridge East development, built by Standard Pacific in 1995 and 1996. The core of the neighborhood is single-family detached homes ranging from about 1,500 to nearly 3,000 square feet on lots of roughly 4,500 to 6,500 square feet — newer-era construction with the high ceilings, upstairs laundry, and open layouts buyers of the period wanted.
What sets Stoneridge Park apart from Stoneridge Place and Stoneridge Square is its upper end: the neighborhood also includes a handful of larger semi-custom Standard Pacific homes on substantially bigger lots, in the 12,000 to 16,000 square foot range, with three-car garages. That gives Stoneridge Park a breadth its siblings lack — you can find a right-sized family home or a larger semi-custom on a big lot within the same community, which is rare for a neighborhood of this vintage.
Stoneridge Park has its own homeowners association and a community mini-park, and after decades the community remains organized and active. The HOA structure means common areas are maintained and there's a shared amenity at the heart of the neighborhood. As always, confirm the current HOA dues, what they cover, and the association's standing through MLS data and the association documents during your transaction.
The neighborhood's spot at the east end of Stoneridge Drive places it right next to Mohr Elementary School and its adjacent park — a daily-life convenience that's a real draw. The broader location is well-connected: Stoneridge Shopping Center and the Santa Rita corridor are close, downtown Pleasanton is a short drive, and I-580, I-680, and the area's BART and ACE options are all easily reached.
School assignments cited for Stoneridge Park are Mohr Elementary, Harvest Park Middle School, and Amador Valley High School, with Mohr Elementary right at the edge of the neighborhood. As always in Pleasanton, school boundaries are parcel-specific and can change over time, so verify the current assignment for any specific address directly with Pleasanton Unified School District before making decisions based on schools.
Stoneridge Park is one of three Standard Pacific neighborhoods at the east end of Stoneridge Drive, alongside Stoneridge Place and Stoneridge Square. They're often grouped together, but each has its own character — Stoneridge Park's mix of detached homes and larger semi-customs, Stoneridge Place's courtyard patio-home layout, and Stoneridge Square's slightly later model lineup. I've written guides on the others as well, and buyers shopping this pocket should compare all three, since each offers a different size and price profile and well-priced homes move quickly.
Stoneridge Park is the most flexible of the Stoneridge neighborhoods, precisely because it isn't one-size-fits-all. The same community can serve a buyer looking for a manageable single-family home and a buyer wanting a larger semi-custom on a big lot — both next to a school and park, both in a newer, well-kept setting at the east end of town. That range is its advantage, but it also means the "neighborhood" can span a wide price spectrum, so knowing exactly which type of home a listing is, and what comparable homes have done, matters more here than in a uniform tract. That kind of street-level detail is where I can genuinely help.
